DAY1:    ARRIVAL AMMAN

Start tour :

Arrive Jordan,  to Queen Alia International Airport. Clients will meet with our representative staff and then transfer to hotel.

 

Overnight in Amman city

 

NO meals will be provided. Depends on the flight details, we can arrange lunch & dinner.

 

DAY2:    AMMAN – MADABA – MT.NEBO – DEAD SEA

 

After breakfast, we drive to Madaba, to see the famous mosaic 6th century map  of Palestine in St. George’s church.  We head to Mt. Nebo, the place where  Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died.

 

You visit the old monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of Israel.  Then onto the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you have leisure time and the chance to float on water.  Overnight in Dead Sea enjoy relaxations

DAY3:   DEAD SEA – WADI MUJIB

 

After having breakfast, drive to the Wadi Mujib.  The hiking will be started from         the visitor center at Wadi Mujib and you will take the Hiking Malaqi Trail (The  time will be 06 – 08hours).

 

** Malaqi Trail **

 

This is an exciting water trail.  It starts at the visitor center by the Mujib Bridge  on the Dead Sea highway, from where a guide will escort you south for a short distance (3km) along with highway before  tuming onto a steeply ascending trail into the nature reserve .  It leads quickly to a striking area of creamy –white hills made of soft rock deposits.  After passing through these hills, you begin your descent to the river Mujib; crystal clear, fast flowing and teeming with life.  Small fish are plentiful, as well as frogs.  Bright kingfishers are often seen speeding along the river channel, as well as circling birds of prey. Dense vegetation lines the river sides, making a stark contrast to the arid, naked mountains that surround you,.  The hike continues upstream  along int eh river to its confluence with the Hidan River (Malaqi area). Here, you can linger, eat a picnic and just enjoy this wild paradise.  You can also enjoy swimming in the natural pools.  You then move on through the Mujib gorge to descend a waterfall, 20 meters in height, using ropes,  From here you continue along the rest of the river, back to the visitor center.

 

Important:

 

If you have a fear of heights or any worries about descending on ropes, please avoid this hike.

Dinner and Overnight at Mujib Chalets

 

DAY4:   WADI MUJIB – DANA – WADI FEYNAN

 

After having breakfast, you will move to Dana by coach.  After arrival at Dana  visitor center, you will start hiking of the Wadi Dana Trail (Distance: 14km & Time :5-7 hours).

 

** Wadi Dana Trail **

 

This trail offers a spectacular down hill walk from Dana to Feynan through the sandstone gorge of Wadi Dana.

Dinner and Overnight at Feynan Eco-lodge

 

DAY5:    WADI FEYNAN – HIKING IN WADI FEYNAN  – PETRA

 

After  breakfast, you will have the hiking of Feynan Copper Mine Trail (Distance: 3km & Time :2hours). Then, move to Petra.   Rest of the time will be free for leisure and rest your exhausted legs.

 

** Feynan Copper Mine Trail **

 

This short trail starts form the Lodge and visits ancient copper mines and the impressive tell of Khirbet Feynan, with its byzantine Churches and graves.

Dinner and overnight in hotel in Petra

 

DAY6:    PETRA VISIT – AMMAN

 

Today visit the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century  B.C. by the Nabatean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and founded a commercial empire.

 

You can start the trip on horse back or by foot to the canyon, the so called Siq, and then walk to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury.  From here you explore the city by yourself, you can see the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. In the afternoon, transfer to  Amman for overnight.

DAY7:    DEPARTURE AMMAN

 

After breakfast transfer to  Airport to say farewell and board your flight.
